A decorative serif with a hand-cut, inked texture and pronounced stroke contrast. Serifs are sharp and wedge-like, with irregular terminals that feel carved rather than mechanically drawn. Curves show slight asymmetry and tapering, and many joins have a subtle flick or notch that adds bite to the silhouettes. Uppercase forms are expressive and uneven in rhythm, while lowercase stays compact with a noticeably short x-height and tall, narrow ascenders; figures follow the same calligraphic, slightly ragged construction.

Best suited to display settings such as book covers, posters, title cards, and thematic branding where a handcrafted, antiquated voice is desired. It can work for short passages or pull quotes at generous sizes, especially when the textured edges and high contrast have room to breathe.

The overall tone is archaic and folkloric, evoking old tales, woodcut prints, or hand-lettered manuscripts. Its textured edges and spiky terminals create a lightly ominous, magical atmosphere without tipping into full horror.

The design appears intended to mimic distressed, hand-rendered lettering with a historical or mythical flavor—combining classical serif structures with roughened contours and pointed terminals to produce an illustrative, narrative-driven display face.

In running text the font creates a lively, irregular color: bold verticals and tapered hairlines alternate with occasional flared strokes that make word shapes distinctive. The italics-like motion is minimal (it reads upright), but stroke endings frequently angle or hook, adding a restless, handcrafted energy. Spacing appears on the open side, which helps preserve clarity despite the decorative detailing.
