A high-contrast serif with pronounced stroke modulation and sharp, wedge-like serifs that often flare from the stems, giving an incised, chiseled feel. Curves are full and smooth, while terminals frequently resolve into pointed beaks or angled cuts rather than blunt endings. Uppercase proportions feel robust and stately with wide bowls (notably in C, G, O) and strong vertical emphasis; the lowercase shows traditional forms with a two-storey a and g and a relatively compact rhythm. Numerals are weighty and sculptural, with high contrast and crisp joins that match the letterforms.

Well-suited to headlines and deck copy in magazines, book covers, and poster typography where contrast and character are assets. It can also serve in branding for institutions or products that benefit from a classic, formal voice, especially in short to medium-length text at generous sizes.

The overall tone is classical and authoritative, with a dramatic, editorial presence suited to assertive statements. Its sharp serifs and flared endings add a sense of tradition and ceremony, while the strong contrast gives it a punchy, attention-grabbing edge.

The design appears intended to reinterpret classical serif conventions with an incised, flared-stroke vocabulary, delivering a strong, premium display color while remaining grounded in familiar text-serif structures.

The face reads best when given room: the sharp serifs, beaked terminals, and tight interior details become more pronounced at larger sizes. In dense settings it can feel busy due to the strong modulation and lively terminal shapes, but in display use those same traits create distinctive texture and personality.
