A condensed blackletter with tall vertical proportions and tightly packed counters. Stems are built from straight, broken strokes with sharp, faceted joins and diamond-like terminals, creating a consistent rhythm of verticals. Contrast is expressed through wedge-like thicks and hairline-like cuts rather than smooth curves, and many characters show narrow apertures that emphasize a dark, continuous texture. Capitals are compact and upright with pointed crowns, while lowercase forms remain tall and linear with minimal curvature; numerals follow the same chiseled, vertical construction.

Best suited to display use such as headlines, posters, album artwork, labels, and branding where a historic or gothic voice is desired. It can also work for short formal lines like certificates, invitations, or section headers, especially when set with generous tracking and ample size.

The overall tone is gothic and ceremonial, with an austere, historic presence that reads as formal and commanding. Its sharp angles and dense color evoke medieval manuscripts, metal engraving, and traditional Germanic signage, lending a dramatic, traditional gravitas.

The design appears intended to deliver a traditional blackletter voice in a compact, vertical silhouette, prioritizing strong texture, sharp calligraphic cuts, and emblem-like impact for display typography.

In text settings it creates a strong, even “wall of black” with pronounced vertical rhythm; this helps headlines feel cohesive but can reduce quick letter differentiation at smaller sizes. Punctuation is similarly angular, and the ampersand and question mark carry the same fractured, calligraphic logic as the letters.
