A high-contrast serif with dominant vertical stems and hairline connections, producing a crisp light–dark rhythm. Serifs are sharp and finely tapered, with subtle bracketing in places, and terminals often resolve into pointed beaks or small ball-like endings. Curves show a clear vertical stress and tight apertures, while the overall proportions are compact and sturdy in the heavy strokes. The lowercase has a traditional, text-seriffed structure with a two-storey “a,” a relatively compact “e,” and firm, sculpted joins that keep countersoman-style elegance even at bold sizes.

Best suited to headlines, magazine typography, and brand identities that need a refined, high-impact serif voice. It will also work for short pull quotes or subheads where the strong contrast and sharp finishing details can remain clear; for long passages, more generous size and leading would help preserve the delicate hairlines.

The tone is polished and theatrical—luxury-leaning without becoming ornamental. Its stark contrast and sculpted details convey confidence, sophistication, and a distinctly editorial presence.

The design appears intended to deliver a contemporary editorial serif: classic structure and vertical stress paired with heightened contrast and razor-fine detailing for strong display performance. It aims to signal elegance and authority while maintaining a conventional text-serif foundation.

In dense settings the hairline cross-strokes and tight counters can create a textured, high-impact color, especially in combinations like “n/m” and round letters. Numerals and capitals read as display-forward, with crisp diagonals and pronounced contrast giving headlines a sharp, poster-like snap.
