This typeface is a high-contrast italic serif with crisp, bracketed serifs and a distinctly calligraphic modulation. Stems and hairlines show strong thick–thin transitions, with wedge-like entry/exit strokes and sharp, tapered terminals. The italic angle is pronounced but controlled, producing a rhythmic forward flow; curves show diagonal stress and counters remain relatively open for an italic. Uppercase forms are dignified and slightly condensed in feel, while the lowercase features lively joins, compact shoulders, and a two-storey italic “g” with a pronounced ear. Figures appear italicized and oldstyle in construction, aligning naturally with text rather than sitting rigidly on the baseline.

Well-suited for book and magazine settings where italic is used for emphasis, quotations, titles, and names, as well as refined editorial headlines and subheads. It can also support formal print pieces such as programs or invitations where a classic, elegant italic voice is desired.

The overall tone is polished and bookish, with a traditional, authoritative flavor associated with classic editorial typography. Its energetic italic forms add a sense of motion and emphasis without becoming decorative, communicating elegance, seriousness, and a touch of old-world sophistication.

The design appears intended to provide a traditional, high-contrast italic companion for text typography—combining classical serif structure with calligraphic motion to deliver emphasis that feels refined and authoritative.

The design favors clear, sharp detail in serifs and terminals, which gives it a crisp texture at display sizes and a finely textured color in longer passages. The italic construction reads as purpose-drawn rather than simply slanted, with consistent stroke logic across uppercase, lowercase, and figures.
