A rough, distressed italic with chiseled, irregular contours and an intentionally uneven stroke edge. Letterforms are built from narrow, calligraphic strokes but broken by nicks and wobble, creating a torn-ink or carved texture throughout. Curves are slightly angular and faceted, counters are somewhat tight, and terminals tend to end in sharp, splintered points. Overall spacing and glyph widths vary noticeably, reinforcing an improvised, hand-rendered rhythm rather than a mechanically consistent texture.

Best used at display sizes for titles, posters, packaging accents, and short bursts of text where the distressed texture can remain legible. It suits horror and fantasy branding, haunted-event promotions, game interfaces, and editorial illustrations that want an antique, unsettling voice. For long-form reading, the rough edges and variable rhythm are likely to feel visually busy.

The texture and skewed, scratch-cut forms give the face an ominous, aged tone—suggesting old manuscripts, spellbooks, or weathered signage. It feels energetic and slightly unruly, with a theatrical darkness that reads as more eerie than playful.

The design appears intended to simulate hand-cut or degraded lettering—combining an italic, calligraphic structure with deliberate erosion and irregularity. Its main goal is expressive atmosphere: a high-character, texture-forward face that immediately signals mood and genre.

Uppercase characters carry the strongest display presence due to their dramatic edges and compact interiors, while lowercase maintains the same distressed logic with a looser, more jittery flow. Numerals share the same ragged silhouette and look especially suited to decorative settings where texture is a feature, not noise.
