This typeface is a right-leaning serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and wedge-like, bracketed serifs that feel carved rather than mechanical. Curves are full and smooth, with crisp joins and a rhythmic, slightly calligraphic stroke flow that keeps counters open despite the strong contrast. The lowercase shows a traditional, readable structure with a two-storey a and g, a slanted crossbar on t, and a compact, smoothly tapered f; ascenders and capitals carry elegant terminals and clear entry/exit strokes. Figures are lining and similarly italicized, with rounded forms and consistent contrast that match the text rhythm.

Well-suited to editorial typography such as magazine headlines, subheads, and pull quotes where its high-contrast italics can add emphasis and character. It can also serve book-cover titling or section openers in literary layouts, especially when paired with a quieter roman or a straightforward sans for supporting text.

The overall tone is bookish and cultivated, projecting a sense of tradition and authority while staying energetic due to the italic slant and lively stroke transitions. It reads as polished and editorial, suited to settings where a classical voice and a touch of dynamism are desirable.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, classical serif voice with an expressive italic stance—combining traditional proportions and serif detailing with a more animated, calligraphic rhythm for emphasis and display use.

The italics are integral to the design rather than a mere slant, with notably fluid diagonals in letters like v, w, x, and y. Spacing appears even in the sample paragraph, and the strong contrast creates a crisp texture that benefits from comfortable sizes and good printing or screen rendering conditions.
