This typeface is a slanted serif with pronounced stroke modulation and a calligraphic, diagonal stress. Serifs are bracketed and gently tapered, giving terminals a softened, traditional finish rather than a sharp, mechanical feel. The italic construction is evident throughout with flowing entry/exit strokes and subtly asymmetrical curves, while counters remain fairly open and readable. Uppercase forms feel sturdy and bookish, and lowercase shows a lively rhythm with clear differentiation in shapes like a single-storey a and a looped, descending g; figures follow the same italic, high-contrast pattern with rounded, old-style energy.

Well-suited to book and long-form editorial settings where an italic voice is needed for emphasis, introductions, pull quotes, and literary titling. It can also work effectively in magazine headers, invitations, and other formal collateral where a traditional serif with expressive slant supports a refined reading experience.

The overall tone is classic and cultivated, evoking traditional printing and editorial typography. Its slanted, high-contrast movement adds a touch of expressive elegance, suitable for text that aims to feel established and polished rather than minimalist or technical.

The design appears intended as a conventional text-serif italic with a distinctly calligraphic flavor, balancing traditional serif structure with energetic, flowing movement. It emphasizes readability and classic typographic authority while providing a more expressive tone than a restrained roman companion would.

Spacing appears generous enough to let the italic motion breathe, and the strong thick–thin contrast creates a crisp texture at display sizes while remaining coherent in short text passages. Distinctive letterforms (notably the swashy-like italic curves in j, y, and g) contribute to a slightly decorative, humanist character without becoming ornamental.
