A conventional text serif with an italic construction and pronounced thick–thin modulation. Letterforms show bracketed serifs, tapered terminals, and a clear calligraphic slant, with flowing joins and softly swelling stems. Proportions feel generously set with open counters and a steady, bookish rhythm, while capitals remain sturdy and formal against the more animated lowercase. Numerals follow the same italic, high-contrast logic, with curving forms and crisp entry/exit strokes.

Well suited to long-form reading environments such as books and editorial pages, especially where an italic voice is needed for emphasis, quotes, or narrative texture. It also performs convincingly in magazine headlines, section openers, and refined packaging or cultural materials where a traditional serif tone is appropriate.

The overall tone is polished and literary, combining traditional book typographic manners with a slightly dramatic, energetic italic voice. It reads as cultured and editorial, suggesting seriousness and craft rather than casual friendliness.

Designed to provide a classic, readable serif italic with a distinctly calligraphic flow and strong contrast, balancing conventional text-serif familiarity with enough movement to feel expressive in emphasis and display settings.

The italic angle is consistent across cases, and the contrast is strong enough to create sparkle at display sizes while still retaining the familiar, conventional structure expected of a text serif. Curved letters and diagonals (like S, C, V/W, and y) emphasize the calligraphic influence, while serifs remain restrained and not oversized.
