This typeface is a slanted serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and a distinctly calligraphic stress. Serifs are finely bracketed and often wedge-like, with tapered terminals that reinforce the italic momentum. Capitals are sculpted and slightly narrow with lively entry/exit strokes, while the lowercase shows flowing joins, open counters, and occasional swash-like strokes (notably on letters such as g, y, and z). Numerals follow the same italic, high-contrast logic, mixing straight stems with curved, tapered endings for a cohesive, text-forward rhythm.

It suits book and long-form editorial settings where an italic voice is needed for emphasis, quotations, or secondary hierarchy. The style also works well for refined headlines, pull quotes, and formal materials such as programs or invitations, especially when set with ample size and spacing to let the thin strokes breathe.

The overall tone feels traditional and cultivated, evoking book typography, formal correspondence, and classic editorial styling. Its energetic italic movement adds a sense of refinement and expressive polish rather than neutrality, making it feel purposeful and slightly dramatic.

The design appears intended to provide a classical italic companion with clear calligraphic roots, delivering elegance and emphasis within conventional serif typography. Its proportions and detailing prioritize a traditional reading feel while adding expressive movement for display moments.

Stroke endings frequently resolve into pointed or teardrop-like terminals, and the curvature of bowls and diagonals creates a lively baseline rhythm. The sample text shows strong word-shape continuity at larger sizes, with the contrast and fine details becoming a key part of its character.
