A high-contrast serif with crisp, bracketed wedge serifs and a slightly calligraphic stroke modulation. Uppercase forms feel stately and conventional, while the lowercase introduces more movement through curved terminals and subtly asymmetrical details. Proportions are on the compact side with a relatively short x-height and noticeable ascender/descender length, giving text a traditional vertical rhythm. Numerals and capitals share the same sharp, tapered finishing, producing a clean but slightly animated texture on the line.

Well-suited to book and long-form editorial settings where a traditional serif voice is desired, and it also performs nicely for literary titles, pull quotes, and refined branding. Its crisp contrast and tapered serifs make it especially effective for display sizes and elegant print applications.

The overall tone is classic and bookish, with an editorial seriousness softened by a touch of oldstyle liveliness. It reads as refined and cultured rather than stark, balancing formality with a human, slightly hand-influenced character.

The design appears intended to evoke a conventional, print-centric serif tradition with clear calligraphic roots—prioritizing elegance and a familiar reading cadence while adding just enough flourish in the lowercase to keep the texture lively.

Round letters show pronounced thick–thin transitions, and serifs tend to terminate in pointed, angled tips rather than flat ends. The sample text maintains an even color at larger sizes, while the short x-height and strong contrast suggest a more traditional reading experience and a distinctive, slightly sparkling rhythm in headlines.
