A high-contrast serif with a pronounced thick–thin rhythm and sharp, hairline serifs. Stems are confidently vertical with clean joins and tapered, calligraphic modulation, while the capitals show wide, open bowls (C, G, O) and crisp wedge-like finishing on several diagonals. The lowercase is compact with a short x-height, relatively long ascenders, and neatly bracketed serifs; counters stay clear but can feel tight in letters like a, e, and s. Numerals follow the same dramatic contrast, with elegant curves and fine terminals that read best when given sufficient size and printing clarity.

Well-suited to editorial design, book and magazine titling, and other settings where a classic serif voice is desired. It also fits formal stationery and premium branding when used at moderate-to-large sizes or in high-quality reproduction that preserves fine hairlines.

The overall tone is polished and traditional, evoking book typography and high-end publishing. Its dramatic contrast and poised silhouettes project sophistication and ceremony rather than casual warmth.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, literary serif appearance with elevated contrast for a more luxurious, headline-ready presence. Its proportions and detailing prioritize elegance and typographic polish, especially in capital settings and prominent text.

At text sizes the hairline strokes and tight interior details can become delicate, while at display sizes the contrast and crisp terminals become a defining feature. The italic is not shown; the pictured style reads consistently upright and composed across letters and figures.
