A high-contrast serif italic with pronounced thick–thin modulation and a clear calligraphic slant. Serifs are finely bracketed and taper into sharp, knife-like terminals, while curves show diagonal stress and lively entry/exit strokes. Capitals are relatively narrow with sculpted, sweeping forms, and the italic lowercase features generous, fluid joins and occasional looped descenders (notably in g, j, y). Numerals follow the same contrast and slanted rhythm, with open counters and elegant, slightly varying widths that keep the texture dynamic in text.

Well-suited to editorial typography where an italic voice is needed—book interiors, magazine features, essays, and pull quotes. It can also serve effectively in refined display settings such as literary titles, formal announcements, and invitation copy where elegance and contrast are desirable.

The overall tone is refined and traditional, evoking bookish sophistication and old-style editorial polish. Its crisp contrast and animated italic forms feel expressive without becoming decorative, lending a poised, cultivated voice to longer passages.

The design appears intended to provide a classic, highly legible italic companion with a distinctly calligraphic flavor—balancing traditional serif structure with energetic stroke movement for expressive emphasis in continuous reading.

The italic construction creates a consistent forward motion across words, with ample white space in counters that helps preserve clarity at display and text sizes. Stroke endings are consistently tapered, giving the face a clean, engraved-like finish rather than a rounded or blunt one.
