A high-contrast serif with sculpted, flaring terminals and strongly bracketed serifs that give the strokes a carved, calligraphic feel. The rhythm is driven by sturdy verticals and sharply tapered joins, with generous curves and oval counters that read clearly at display sizes. Uppercase forms are broad and stately, while the lowercase shows compact, weighty bowls and short ascenders/descenders relative to the cap height. Figures follow the same contrast model, with curved forms (notably 2, 3, 5, and 9) showing pronounced thick–thin modulation and crisp, serifed endings.

Best used for headlines, subheads, pull quotes, and other display typography where its contrast and flared detailing can be appreciated. It also suits book covers, magazine titles, cultural branding, and formal invitations that benefit from a classic serif voice with extra presence. In longer text, it will read strongest at comfortable sizes with ample line spacing due to its dark overall color.

The font projects a traditional, bookish authority with a theatrical edge. Its sharp contrast and flared finishing strokes create a confident, slightly ornamental tone that feels suited to legacy institutions, literary contexts, and premium branding.

The design appears intended to combine traditional serif structure with pronounced flare and contrast to create a commanding display face. It emphasizes elegant tapering, crisp terminals, and a polished, editorial texture that conveys heritage and seriousness while staying visually distinctive.

Diagonal strokes (as in A, V, W, X, and Y) show decisive tapering and crisp terminals, keeping the heavy weight from feeling blunt. Round letters such as C, G, O, and Q maintain strong internal space, supporting legibility despite the dense color. The overall texture is dark and emphatic, with consistent serif treatment across cases and numerals.
