This serif italic shows pronounced thick–thin contrast with sharply cut, wedge-like serifs and tapered terminals. Strokes follow a consistent rightward slant and feel drawn with a pointed pen: hairlines are crisp, while downstrokes swell smoothly into weighty stems. The letterforms are relatively narrow and compact with tight interior apertures, and the italics exhibit lively entry and exit strokes that create a rolling rhythm across words. Capitals are statuesque and slightly condensed, while lowercase forms emphasize flowing joins and pointed finishes; numerals echo the same contrast and angled stress for a cohesive texture.

Well-suited for editorial design, luxury-leaning branding, and display typography where an elegant italic voice is desired. It works especially well for headlines, pull quotes, title pages, and short blocks of refined text, and can also serve as an expressive companion italic in traditional serif systems.

The overall tone is formal and cultured, with a fashion/editorial polish and a distinctly bookish, old-world sophistication. Its energetic italic movement adds drama and momentum, making lines feel poised yet expressive rather than purely utilitarian.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic, high-contrast serif italic with strong calligraphic influence—prioritizing sophistication, pace, and visual drama while maintaining conventional, readable forms.

The high-contrast construction rewards generous sizes and comfortable tracking, where the hairlines and sharp terminals can remain clear. In dense settings the brisk diagonals and narrow counters can create a dark, stylish color, especially in italic-heavy passages.
