A robust, high-contrast serif with pronounced thick–thin transitions and strongly bracketed, wedge-like serifs. The capitals are broad and weighty with flared terminals and crisp joins, giving a compact, sculpted silhouette. Lowercase forms read as oldstyle-leaning, with a double-storey “a,” a generous, ear-like “g,” and a “y” that finishes in a deep, leftward hook; counters are relatively tight, reinforcing the dense, headline-ready color. Numerals are sturdy and traditional, with clear, open shapes and emphatic serifs that keep figures aligned to the same assertive rhythm as the letters.

Best suited to headlines, magazine/editorial typography, book or film titling, and other applications where a strong serif presence is desired. It can work for short-to-medium text when generous size and spacing are available, but its dense color favors display and emphasis over long, small-size reading.

The overall tone is classic and editorial, with a confident, authoritative voice that feels at home in print traditions. Its sharp serifs and dramatic modulation add a slightly theatrical, old-world sophistication while staying firmly legible and conventional.

This design appears intended to deliver a traditional serif voice with heightened drama and impact, combining classic proportions with assertive contrast and crisp, chiseled detailing. The goal seems to be a dependable, conventional text-serif foundation tuned for strong display presence.

In text, the heavy stems and tight internal spaces create a strong dark texture, especially in longer lines. The beaked terminals and wedge serifs add distinctive character to short words and display settings without pushing into decorative territory.
