A high-contrast serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and sharply defined, bracketed wedge serifs. Curves are full and slightly teardrop-like in joins and terminals, giving counters a rounded, sculpted feel. The uppercase shows classic proportions with confident vertical stress, while the lowercase features sturdy, rounded bowls and compact apertures that keep word shapes dense and weighty. Numerals and capitals share the same strong contrast and crisp finishing, producing a firm, ink-on-paper presence.

This face is well suited to display typography such as headlines, deck copy, book and journal covers, and magazine features where contrast and serif detail can be appreciated. It can also support branding and packaging that aims for a traditional, premium tone, especially when set with generous tracking and leading.

The overall tone is traditional and formal, with an editorial seriousness that feels suited to established institutions and print culture. Its strong contrast and sharp serifs add drama and authority, while the rounded inner forms keep it from feeling overly rigid.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic, print-forward serif voice with heightened contrast for impact, pairing traditional letterform construction with crisp, assertive finishing for strong typographic presence.

In the sample text, the heavy strokes and tight interior spaces create a dark text color that reads as emphatic at larger sizes; at smaller sizes it may appear compact due to the narrow apertures and strong contrast. The design’s consistent vertical rhythm and crisp serif treatment help maintain a classic, polished appearance across capitals, lowercase, and figures.
