A heavy, display-oriented serif with aggressively ragged contours and thorn-like protrusions along stems, bowls, and terminals. The letterforms keep a largely traditional skeleton, but their edges are intentionally distressed, producing jagged silhouettes and uneven stroke boundaries. Contrast appears visually pronounced through sharp cuts and flared shapes, while counters remain fairly open for the weight. Spacing and widths vary by glyph, reinforcing an irregular, hand-tormented rhythm rather than a strictly uniform texture.

Best suited for large sizes where the jagged silhouette can read clearly—titles, logos, posters, event flyers, and packaging that needs an instant spooky hit. It also works well for game or streaming graphics, album artwork, and short pull quotes where atmosphere matters more than long-form comfort.

The overall tone is ominous and theatrical, evoking horror, dark fantasy, and haunted-house aesthetics. Its spines and torn edges read as menacing and unstable, with a pulpy, B-movie energy that feels more playful-creepy than refined. The texture suggests decay, danger, and a supernatural edge.

The design intent appears to be delivering an immediately recognizable horror texture while preserving a familiar serif framework for legibility. By combining a classic structure with extreme distressed edges, it targets dramatic display use where mood and impact take priority over neutrality.

In text settings the distressed perimeter creates a strong “noisy” texture, especially around joins and at the ends of strokes, which can visually thicken in dense lines. The numerals and capitals carry the same shredded, bristling treatment, helping maintain a consistent mood across headings and short statements.
