A high-contrast italic serif with a lively, calligraphic axis and sharply tapered entry and exit strokes. Serifs are bracketed and fine, with pointed terminals that emphasize the slant and create a quick, rhythmic texture. Counters are relatively open for an italic, while joins and hairlines stay crisp, producing a distinctly ink-on-paper feel in both capitals and lowercase. Figures follow the same italic stress, with curving, tapered forms that read as old-style in spirit.

Well suited to editorial typography such as magazine features, book typography, and pull quotes where an italic with personality is desired. It also works for premium branding, packaging, and formal announcements that benefit from a classic, high-contrast serif voice, especially in titles and short to medium text runs.

The overall tone is refined and literary, suggesting traditional print craft and a slightly dramatic editorial voice. Its energetic slant and sharp detailing add sophistication and motion, making it feel poised, expressive, and formal without becoming ornamental.

The design appears intended to provide a conventional text serif foundation with an expressive italic cut, combining traditional proportions with calligraphic energy. Its contrast and crisp detailing aim to convey elegance and authority while maintaining readable, disciplined letterforms for editorial settings.

In text, the strong thick–thin modulation creates sparkle and clear word shapes, while the narrow hairlines and pointed terminals increase delicacy at smaller sizes. The capitals have a dignified, inscriptional presence, and the italic lowercase shows pronounced movement in forms like the a, e, f, and y.
