A crisp italic serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and a clear calligraphic throughline. The serifs are bracketed and slightly wedge-like, with tapered entry and exit strokes that keep the outlines lively. Proportions feel moderately wide with open counters and a steady rhythm, while the italic angle is consistent and supported by smooth curves and diagonal stress. Lowercase forms show readable, traditional construction (single-storey a and g, flowing f and y), and the numerals appear oldstyle, blending naturally with text.

Well suited to editorial and book typography where an italic with strong contrast and refined serifs can provide emphasis without breaking the text color. It should work particularly well for pull quotes, introductions, captions, and literary or cultural writing where a classic, polished tone is desired.

The overall tone is polished and literary, projecting a sense of classic sophistication. Its italic voice reads as expressive rather than flamboyant, suitable for elegant emphasis and cultivated, bookish typography.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, readable serif italic with an elevated, calligraphic finish. It aims for a smooth reading rhythm and traditional typographic manners, while preserving enough character in terminals and modulation to feel distinguished in editorial settings.

Capitals are restrained and slightly calligraphic, pairing well with the more animated lowercase. Terminals on letters like a, c, e, and r are subtly hooked, and the ampersand in the sample text matches the italic’s formal, pen-influenced character. The oldstyle numerals reinforce a traditional texture in running text.
