A very heavy, high-contrast blackletter display face with sharply cut terminals and pronounced spur-like serifs. Strokes show a calligraphic logic—thick verticals and tapered joins—while many capitals incorporate tight internal curls and teardrop counters that add ornament without becoming filigree-heavy. The lowercase has a compact, upright texture with broken-pen angles and occasional wedge terminals; widths vary noticeably from letter to letter, producing a rhythmic, hand-drawn color. Numerals follow the same chiseled, slightly irregular construction, reading bold and sculptural in text.

Best suited to display settings such as posters, album or book titles, branding marks, labels, and themed packaging where a bold, historic voice is desirable. It can also work for short passages or pull quotes when the goal is texture and atmosphere rather than long-form readability.

The tone is medieval and ceremonial, with a dramatic, storybook darkness that feels suited to heraldic or gothic themes. Its heavy weight and sharp cuts project authority and intensity, while the curled details in the caps add a theatrical, crafted character.

The design appears intended to evoke a bold, medieval manuscript or gothic sign-painting aesthetic, combining broken-pen angles with compact proportions and decorative capitals to create a strong, thematic display voice.

In running text the face creates a dense, patterned texture typical of blackletter-inspired designs, with capitals standing out strongly due to their internal swashes. The overall slant reads subtly back-leaning, and the irregularities in stroke endings and internal shapes reinforce a hand-rendered feel.
