This typeface is a slanted serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and sharp, bracketed serifs. Curves are smooth and slightly calligraphic, with tapered joins and a lively diagonal stress that gives letters a forward motion. Proportions feel generously set with open counters and a steady, readable rhythm; the lowercase shows traditional forms with a single‑storey g and a compact, slightly angled ear on r. Numerals and capitals carry the same polished contrast and crisp terminals, producing a clean, print-oriented texture in text.

Well suited to book and long-form editorial typography where a traditional serif tone is needed with added emphasis and movement. It also works effectively for magazine features, introductions, pull quotes, and elegant titling where the italic character can carry a sophisticated voice without feeling ornamental.

The overall tone is classical and cultivated, combining the authority of traditional book serifs with the energy of an italic hand. It reads as elegant and literary, suited to situations where a refined, editorial voice is desired.

The design appears intended as a conventional, text-oriented serif italic with clear historical roots, balancing readability with expressive contrast and a confident slant. It aims to provide a polished, authoritative texture for continuous reading while remaining distinctive in display-like editorial applications.

At larger sizes, the sharp serifs and strong modulation become a defining feature, while in paragraph settings the slant and contrast create a distinct, animated flow. The italic angle is consistent across caps, lowercase, and figures, helping mixed text maintain a cohesive cadence.
