This serif shows pronounced thick–thin modulation with hairline joins and crisp, bracketed serifs. Capitals are stately and relatively narrow with finely tapered terminals and a restrained, symmetrical construction, while round letters keep a smooth, near-elliptical bowl. The lowercase maintains an even rhythm with compact apertures, a two-storey “a,” a looped “g,” and a clean, lightly cupped baseline feel; curves transition into stems with controlled, calligraphic tension. Numerals follow the same high-contrast logic, with delicate diagonals and fine terminals that keep the color light on the page.

Well-suited to long-form reading and editorial typography where a classic serif texture is desired, particularly in print-like layouts. It also performs nicely for display moments such as magazine titles, chapter openers, pull quotes, and formal collateral where the high-contrast detailing can signal luxury and tradition.

The overall tone is polished and traditional, projecting an editorial seriousness associated with books, magazines, and cultural institutions. Its sharp contrast and slender details add a sense of sophistication and ceremony, leaning more refined than utilitarian.

The design appears intended as a conventional, literature-friendly serif that balances readability with a refined, high-contrast finish. Its proportions and detailing suggest an aim to provide a timeless editorial voice that can scale from text to tasteful display.

At text sizes the thin strokes and fine serifs read as precise and airy, while in larger settings the elegant stroke transitions and tapered terminals become more prominent. The italic is not shown; the samples indicate a consistent roman voice with a measured, classical cadence.
