A sharply constructed blackletter with narrow proportions and crisp, broken strokes that read like pen-cut facets. Stems show pronounced thick–thin modulation, with pointed terminals, wedge-like joins, and occasional hooked descenders and ascenders that add lively texture. Counters are tight and irregular in a deliberate way, and many forms feel slightly hand-wrought rather than mechanically uniform. Numerals follow the same fractured, calligraphic logic, keeping the set visually cohesive.

Best suited to short, prominent text such as headlines, posters, titles, and branding marks where its angular detailing can be appreciated. It also fits ceremonial materials like invitations and certificates, as well as historical or fantasy-themed book covers and packaging. For longer text, larger sizes and increased spacing help preserve clarity.

The overall tone is medieval and ceremonial, projecting a Gothic gravity associated with manuscripts, proclamations, and heraldic display. Its high drama and ornamentation create an antique, storybook atmosphere that can feel solemn, mysterious, or theatrical depending on setting and spacing.

The design appears intended to evoke traditional blackletter writing with a hand-drawn edge—prioritizing historical character and dramatic texture over neutrality. Its narrow, vertically driven construction and ornate terminals aim to create a strong period voice that stands out immediately in display settings.

Texture is dense in words because of the narrow build and frequent vertical emphasis, producing a strong rhythm of dark strokes. Capital forms are particularly expressive and can dominate a line, while the lowercase maintains a consistent broken-pen cadence. The face benefits from generous tracking and ample leading to keep internal details from closing up in longer passages.
