A sturdy slab-serif with bold, squared serifs and gently bracketed joins that give the shapes a grounded, print-forward feel. Strokes are generally even with subtle modulation, keeping the texture solid while preserving crisp inner counters and clear letterfit. The lowercase shows traditional book-seriff proportions with rounded joins and ball-like terminals on forms such as the two-storey “a,” while capitals read broad and stable with strong horizontals and a substantial baseline presence. Numerals are hearty and highly legible, matching the face’s blocky serif structure and consistent rhythm.

Well suited to editorial typography where a firm, high-contrast page presence is desired, including magazines, newspapers, and book layouts. It can also work effectively for posters, packaging, and branding that need a classic, trustworthy voice with strong serif character.

The overall tone is authoritative and editorial—more newspaper and bookish than trendy—conveying reliability and a straightforward seriousness. Its robust slabs add a hint of vintage practicality, making the voice feel confident, established, and slightly old-school without becoming ornate.

The design appears intended to deliver a dependable slab-serif workhorse: traditional letterforms reinforced by bold serifs for emphasis, clarity, and a distinctly print-oriented texture across both display and text sizes.

The heavy slabs and compact apertures create a dark, emphatic text color, especially in all-caps settings. Curves stay controlled and geometry remains conservative, supporting a steady reading cadence while still feeling assertive in headlines.
