A robust italic serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and crisp, bracketed serifs. The strokes show a steady rightward slant and a lively, calligraphic rhythm, with rounded joins and tapered terminals that keep counters open despite the dense color. Capitals are broad and weighty with strong vertical stems, while the lowercase is energetic and slightly compact, with single-storey forms where expected and a prominent, forward-leaning italic structure. Numerals share the same slanted, high-contrast construction and read clearly at display sizes.

Well suited to headlines, pull quotes, and editorial titling where a classic serif look with extra emphasis is desired. It can work for short passages in magazines or book-cover text, and for posters or branding that benefits from a traditional, high-impact italic voice.

The overall tone feels traditional and editorial, like classic book typography pushed toward a more emphatic, attention-getting voice. Its pronounced contrast and italic movement add drama and momentum, creating a confident, slightly theatrical impression while remaining rooted in familiar serif conventions.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional serif foundation with heightened contrast and an expressive italic drive, balancing readability with a strong, display-forward presence. It aims to evoke established literary and editorial typography while adding bold, energetic emphasis in composition.

Spacing appears generous enough for display and short text, but the heavy stroke weight and sharp contrast create a strong, dark typographic color that will dominate a page. The italic angle is consistent across letters and figures, producing a cohesive slanted texture in running lines.
