A condensed, high-contrast serif with a vintage, worn-print surface. Strokes show pronounced thick–thin modulation and tapered joins, with sharp, wedge-like terminals and small, spiky serifs. The contours are intentionally irregular—edges look abraded and inky, with subtle breaks and blotting that mimic distressed letterpress or aged signage. Uppercase forms feel tall and narrow, while lowercase maintains a compact, short x-height with relatively prominent ascenders, creating a slightly formal rhythm under a rough finish.

Best suited for short-to-medium display settings where the distressed detail can be appreciated: titles, posters, cover treatments, packaging accents, and themed branding. It will be most effective at larger sizes and with generous tracking, where the rough edges and high contrast remain legible and intentional.

The overall tone is eerie and antiquarian, blending old-world formality with a gritty, corrupted texture. It reads as theatrical and ominous, suggesting pulp horror, gothic storytelling, or weathered ephemera rather than clean editorial typography.

The design appears intended to evoke an aged, ink-worn serif—combining traditional, condensed letterforms with deliberate abrasion and uneven printing artifacts to create an antique, story-driven display voice.

Texture varies from glyph to glyph, so the color on the page has a lively, flickering quality—dense in vertical stems and lighter where distressing eats into bowls and curves. Numerals are comparatively cleaner and more classic in silhouette, providing a steadier counterpoint to the more distressed letters.
