A distressed display face with jagged, eroded contours and uneven stroke edges that feel like rough ink dragged across paper. The letterforms lean on serif-like terminals and occasional sharp notches, but the outlines are intentionally broken and irregular, creating a mottled silhouette at both stems and curves. Counters tend to be tight and organic rather than geometric, and the overall rhythm is lively and slightly inconsistent by design, giving each glyph a hand-worn, carved quality.

Best suited to short display settings where texture is an asset: horror and Halloween posters, title cards, game branding, album art, and book/film packaging. It also works well for themed UI accents, labels, and pull quotes where a distressed, ominous voice is desired.

The texture and spiky breaks give the font an eerie, ritualistic tone—more cursed manuscript than clean print. It reads as theatrical and ominous, with a gritty, haunted energy that suggests horror props, arcane labels, and unsettling headlines.

The design appears intended to evoke aged, corrupted lettering—combining traditional serif cues with deliberate erosion and sharp fractures to create an unsettling, cinematic display texture. The focus is on atmosphere and silhouette impact rather than quiet readability.

In the sample text, the distressed perimeter remains prominent even at smaller sizes, producing a noisy edge that adds character but can reduce clarity in long passages. Numerals and capitals share the same roughened treatment, keeping the set visually cohesive for titling, posters, and themed collateral.
