A sharply constructed blackletter with angular, broken strokes and pronounced vertical emphasis. Forms are built from narrow columns and wedge-like terminals, with frequent pointed corners and occasional hairline-like cut-ins that create a distressed, carved texture. Counters are tight and geometric, and many joins appear segmented rather than smoothly curved, reinforcing a rigid, chiseled rhythm. Lowercase maintains compact proportions with small interior spaces, while capitals are more elaborate and display-like, featuring stronger notches and decorative spur details.

Best suited to display work where a gothic or medieval voice is desired: band or event posters, album artwork, title treatments, packaging, and brand marks that aim for heritage or menace. It can work for short phrases, pull quotes, and wordmarks, but the dense texture is less comfortable for extended body copy at small sizes.

The font projects a dark, historic tone—ceremonial and severe—with a dramatic, intimidating presence. Its spiky contours and fractured stroke behavior suggest old-world authority, folklore, and occult or metal-adjacent aesthetics rather than everyday neutrality.

The design appears intended to evoke classic blackletter signage and manuscript traditions while adding a gritty, distressed edge for modern, high-impact display. It emphasizes theatrical texture and iconic silhouettes over neutral readability, especially in the capitals.

In text settings the dense texture and tight counters create a strong color on the line, while the intentionally roughened edges add grit and spectacle. Similar letter shapes can be close in silhouette, so clarity improves with generous tracking, larger sizes, and shorter line lengths.
