A right-leaning serif italic with pronounced stroke modulation and a lively, calligraphic rhythm. The serifs are bracketed and often wedge-like, with tapered entry/exit strokes that create sharp terminals against fuller main stems. Counters are generous and rounded, while curves (notably in C, G, S, and the lowercase a/e) show strong thick–thin transitions and a slightly “inked” texture at joins and turns. Uppercase forms feel sturdy and sculpted; lowercase is more flowing, with single-storey a and g, a compact, rounded i/j dot, and a long, energetic f that reinforces the italic momentum.

Well-suited to editorial typography where an italic voice is needed for emphasis, such as magazines, long-form articles, and book design. Its strong contrast and energetic slant also make it effective for display uses—headlines, pull quotes, and title treatments—where a classic serif italic can add authority and flair without becoming ornate.

The overall tone is traditional and literary, balancing formality with a sense of motion. It suggests editorial seriousness and heritage styling, but the vigorous italic slant and high-contrast drawing add drama and emphasis, making it feel confident rather than restrained.

This font appears designed as a conventional text-serif italic with a distinctly calligraphic edge, aiming to deliver readable, tradition-anchored typography while providing a bold, expressive emphasis style for prominent editorial moments.

Spacing and sidebearings appear tuned for text, with consistent color despite the strong contrast. Numerals follow the italic angle and share the same tapered terminals, helping headings and mixed alphanumeric settings feel cohesive.
