This is a high-contrast italic serif with a pronounced rightward slant and crisp, tapered terminals. Strokes show strong thick–thin modulation, with fine hairlines and fuller verticals, and neatly bracketed serifs that often resolve into sharp, wedge-like entry and exit strokes. Proportions feel moderately narrow with lively, slightly variable character widths, creating a rhythmic, forward-moving texture in text. The lowercase is compact with a normal x-height and relatively long ascenders/descenders, while figures follow the same italic, high-contrast logic with elegant curves and delicate joints.

Well-suited for editorial typography where italic is used for emphasis, quotations, and titles, as well as for literary and magazine layouts that benefit from a classic, high-contrast serif voice. It can also serve effectively in refined headings or short passages where its elegant rhythm and crisp detailing are allowed to show.

The overall tone is refined and literary, with a poised, traditional elegance typical of bookish italics. Its energetic slant and sharp finishing details add a sense of sophistication and motion without feeling decorative or flamboyant.

The design appears intended as a conventional text-serif italic with a calligraphic underpinning, prioritizing graceful movement, strong contrast, and classical proportions for polished reading and emphasis in editorial settings.

In running text, the strong modulation and tight, calligraphic joins create a smooth, continuous flow, while the sharp serifs and fine hairlines lend a crisp, engraved quality at larger sizes. The italic construction is consistent across capitals, lowercase, and numerals, giving headings and emphasis a cohesive voice.
