A sturdy serif with bracketed serifs, generous inner counters, and a confident, dark overall color. Strokes are fairly even for a traditional serif, with moderate contrast and smooth, rounded joins that keep the letterforms from feeling brittle. The capitals are broad and steady with clear vertical stress, while the lowercase shows conventional proportions and readable, open shapes; the two-storey “a” and “g” reinforce its book-seriffed character. Numerals are solid and straightforward, designed to sit prominently and consistently alongside text.

This face works well for headlines and subheads where a strong serif presence is desired, and it can also support body copy when a darker, more emphatic texture is acceptable. It’s a natural fit for editorial layouts, magazines, book typography, and formal printed materials where clarity and authority are priorities.

The tone is classic and institutional, projecting authority and reliability without becoming ornate. Its weight and breadth give it an editorial gravitas that feels suited to established publications and formal communication.

The design appears intended as a conventional, readable serif with extra presence—balancing traditional forms with a heavier, broader build to hold up in prominent text settings and deliver a confident typographic voice.

At display sizes the serifs read as crisp and slightly tapered, while in text the heavy rhythm creates strong emphasis and clear word shapes. Overall spacing appears comfortable, supporting dense setting without the letters collapsing into each other.
