A bold, wide serif with pronounced stroke contrast and crisp, bracketed wedge serifs. The design uses vertical stress and strong thick stems paired with hairline-like joins and terminals, producing a punchy rhythm at display sizes. Capitals are broad and steady with sturdy horizontals, while the lowercase shows traditional, bookish structures (two-storey a, single-storey g) and firm, rounded bowls. Numerals are robust and old-style in feel, with energetic curves and pronounced thick–thin transitions that keep the set visually cohesive.

Best suited to headlines, subheads, and prominent editorial typography where high contrast and wide proportions can read cleanly. It can also work for book covers, mastheads, and formal brand statements, especially when set with comfortable tracking and line spacing to preserve its sharp detailing.

The overall tone is formal and authoritative, with an editorial, headline-driven confidence. Its high-contrast detailing and sharp finishing cues a classic, institutional mood—more “established” than playful—while the wide proportions add a sense of grandeur and impact.

The design appears intended as a conventional, classic serif interpreted for strong display impact: familiar letterforms and bracketed serifs paired with heightened contrast and broad proportions to project authority and refinement in prominent text.

At larger sizes the hairline transitions and tight internal joins become a defining feature, giving the face a dramatic sparkle; in dense settings these fine details may require a bit of breathing room. The italic is not shown, and the roman appears designed to carry weight in short lines and emphatic typographic moments.
