A high-contrast serif with crisp, bracketed wedge serifs and a predominantly vertical stress. The design shows pronounced thick–thin modulation, slender hairlines, and sharply cut terminals that create a clean, bright rhythm on the page. Capitals are stately and evenly proportioned with generous interior counters, while lowercase forms are compact and tidy with clear joins and a slightly calligraphic flavor in strokes like the angled arm of “k” and the tapered diagonals of “v/w/x”. Numerals follow the same contrast logic, with refined curves and thin linking strokes.

Well suited to long-form reading in books and essays, as well as magazine layouts and editorial typography where a refined, classical serif is desired. It also works effectively for display uses such as headlines, formal invitations, and brand identities that benefit from a traditional, established look.

The overall tone is traditional and authoritative, leaning toward book and editorial typography. Its sharp serifs and polished contrast convey a composed, cultured voice suited to established institutions and classic publishing aesthetics.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, literature-forward serif voice with elevated contrast and precise finishing. It aims for an elegant, print-centric appearance that balances readability with a distinctly formal, traditional presence.

In text, the strong contrast and delicate hairlines produce an elegant texture that looks best with comfortable sizes and adequate reproduction quality. The wide, open bowls in letters like “O/Q” and the crisp, pointed serifs help maintain clarity while preserving a distinctly classical character.
