This is a conventional italic serif with a pronounced rightward slant and a crisp, pen-like rhythm. Strokes show clear thick–thin modulation with sharply tapered entry and exit terminals, and mostly bracketed wedge serifs that keep the joins smooth rather than abrupt. Uppercase forms are relatively open and stately, with long, gently curved diagonals and tapered arms, while the lowercase uses flowing, single-storey shapes with compact bowls and lively ascenders/descenders. Numerals share the same calligraphic contrast and include a distinctive, more decorative ‘9’ with a sweeping tail, reinforcing the italic, editorial character.

It performs well for editorial settings where italic is used for emphasis, quotations, and named entities, and it can carry short literary headlines or subheads with a refined voice. The style also suits programs, invitations, and other formal print applications where a traditional italic serif texture is desired.

The overall tone is classic and cultured, evoking traditional book typography and old-style editorial italics. Its slanted, calligraphic detailing reads as expressive yet disciplined—suited to conveying sophistication, emphasis, and a sense of tradition.

The design appears intended as a classic text italic companion: expressive enough to differentiate emphasis, yet restrained and readable across continuous lines. Its calligraphic terminals and balanced contrast aim to deliver a polished, traditional editorial feel rather than a highly stylized display look.

In text, the spacing and joins create a continuous, cursive-like texture without becoming script. The italic construction is consistent across capitals, lowercase, and figures, with tapered terminals and curved strokes producing a smooth, elegant line in longer passages.
