A high-contrast serif with a lively, calligraphic construction and strongly bracketed serifs. Strokes alternate between hairline connections and fuller verticals, with tapered joins and frequent curled terminals that add a swashy, ornamental edge without becoming script. The uppercase has compact, slightly theatrical proportions with distinctive hooked entry strokes (notably on C, G, J, S, and T), while the lowercase keeps a sturdy, readable skeleton with round counters and a noticeable, slightly soft baseline rhythm. Numerals follow the same logic, mixing elegant curves with firm stems and occasional flourished terminals for a cohesive text-and-display color.

Well-suited for book jackets, chapter openers, and editorial headlines where a classic serif with added character is desired. It can also support boutique branding, labels, and invitations that benefit from an elegant but slightly playful historical tone, especially at medium to large sizes where the curled terminals read clearly.

The overall tone reads traditional and literary, with a light touch of whimsy from the curled terminals and decorative caps. It suggests period print—part storybook, part old-style editorial—balancing refinement with personality rather than strict austerity.

The font appears designed to reinterpret an old-style serif through a more decorative, calligraphy-informed lens—retaining familiar text structures while adding distinctive swashes and hooked terminals to increase personality in display and titling contexts.

The design’s signature is its recurring hooked/teardrop-like terminals and the way many capitals begin with a small inward curl, which creates a distinctive texture in titles. In text settings, the contrast and ornamental details remain evident, giving paragraphs a slightly embellished, classic feel.
