A sturdy serif with bracketed serifs, rounded joins, and slightly uneven contours that resemble ink spread or impression wear. Strokes are weighty and broadly consistent, with gently swelling curves and softened terminals that keep the forms friendly rather than sharp. The lowercase is compact and readable, with a two-storey “g,” a single-storey “a,” and generally traditional proportions; spacing feels generous enough for continuous text while retaining a tight, punchy rhythm. Overall color on the page is dark and solid, with small, organic edge variations that add texture without breaking letter recognition.

Well suited to book and editorial typography where a traditional serif voice is desired but with added tactile character. It also fits packaging, labels, and branding that benefit from a heritage feel, and works strongly for posters and headlines where the textured edges can be showcased.

The texture and softened details give the face a vintage, hands-on tone—suggesting letterpress, old publishing, or worn signage rather than pristine modern typesetting. It reads as warm and slightly rugged, with an editorial seriousness tempered by a crafted, informal finish.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional serif reading experience while introducing a deliberate, slightly distressed imprint effect. It balances familiar, classic construction with a crafted surface texture to evoke older print methods and add personality in display or editorial contexts.

The caps have a stout, compact presence and the numerals are rounded and weighty, matching the text color closely. Subtle irregularities along stems and serifs create a consistent “printed” grain across sizes, which becomes especially noticeable in larger settings and headline lines.
