This serif shows a traditional, bookish construction with moderate stroke modulation and clearly bracketed, flaring serifs that broaden as they meet the stems. Capitals are stately and evenly proportioned, with crisp joins and confident, slightly calligraphic shaping in diagonals and curves. Lowercase forms are readable and open, with a two-storey a, a compact two-storey g with a distinct ear, and a small r with a tapered shoulder; spacing appears balanced for continuous text. Numerals follow the same classical logic, mixing round forms with angled, sharply finished terminals for a consistent texture across text and figures.

Well-suited to book and long-form editorial settings where a classical serif texture and strong readability are desired. It also performs convincingly for headings, pull quotes, and institutional or heritage-leaning branding that benefits from a traditional, cultivated tone.

The overall tone is conservative and composed, evoking printed literature and institutional typography rather than overt display styling. Its flared, bracketed endings add a subtle warmth and craft feel while maintaining a formal, authoritative voice.

The design appears intended as a contemporary take on a classic text serif, emphasizing familiar proportions and comfortable reading rhythm while using flared, bracketed terminals to add character and polish in both display and text contexts.

In the text sample, the face holds together cleanly at larger sizes with a steady rhythm and clear word shapes; the heavier-looking joins and pronounced terminals give it presence without turning into a heavy, blunt serif. Diagonals (notably in V, W, and Y) read sharp and energetic, helping headings feel crisp and well-defined.
