A slanted, old-style serif with a calligraphic skeleton and visibly irregular, worn contours. Strokes show moderate contrast with tapered terminals, soft bracketed serifs, and occasional swelling that suggests an ink-and-nib or rough letterpress impression. The rhythm is lively and slightly uneven: curves look subtly bumpy, joins aren’t perfectly smooth, and spacing varies enough to create a hand-set, artisanal color. The lowercase sits relatively low with compact bowls and ascenders that feel tall by comparison, while caps are broad and gently rounded with assertive diagonals.

Best suited to display and short-to-medium text where texture is a feature: packaging, café or craft branding, posters, book covers, and editorial headlines. It works well when you want a classic serif voice with an intentionally imperfect, printed patina; for small UI sizes or dense body copy, the roughness may compete with clarity.

The overall tone is nostalgic and tactile, evoking printed ephemera, craft labels, and weathered signage. Its textured edges and energetic slant give it a spirited, storybook warmth—more expressive than formal—while still reading as a traditional serif at heart.

The design appears intended to merge an old-style italic serif structure with a deliberately worn, inked finish, recreating the feel of imperfect printing or hand-rendered type. The goal is an expressive, vintage-leaning voice that reads as traditional yet distinctly tactile and human.

The numerals and capitals carry the same rough-ink character as the text, helping headings and short phrases maintain a consistent, distressed imprint. In continuous reading, the texture becomes part of the typographic color, so it benefits from generous sizes and comfortable leading.
