This is an italic serif with flowing, calligraphic construction and gently bracketed serifs. Strokes show a clear diagonal stress with tapered entry and exit forms, producing a smooth, continuous rhythm across words. The capitals are relatively upright in structure but carry the same forward slant and subtle flare at terminals, while the lowercase is more cursive in feel with rounded joins and pronounced ascenders and descenders. Counters are open and the overall color stays even, with delicate hairlines and slightly heavier curves keeping the texture legible at text sizes.

It works especially well for book and magazine typography where italic is needed for emphasis, titles of works, or quoted material. The graceful slant and traditional serif detailing also suit refined stationery and invitation-style applications, as well as short subheads where a classic, polished voice is desired.

The tone is traditional and literary, with an elegant, slightly romantic slant that reads as editorial and cultured rather than decorative. Its measured contrast and restrained detailing keep it poised and formal, suitable for calm, confident emphasis in running text.

The design appears intended as a conventional text companion italic: expressive enough to differentiate from roman text, yet controlled in contrast and detailing to remain comfortable for sustained reading. Its proportions and soft calligraphic cues suggest a focus on timelessness and typographic tradition rather than overt display.

The numerals follow the same italic, old-style sensibility, with curved forms and modest terminal flicks that blend naturally into text. Spacing appears comfortable in the sample paragraph, supporting a steady reading rhythm while still preserving the italic’s lively motion.
