This serif typeface features pronounced contrast between thick verticals and fine hairlines, with crisp, bracketed serifs that subtly flare at the ends of strokes. Curves are generously rounded and the overall proportions feel slightly expansive, giving capitals and numerals a stately width without becoming sluggish. The lowercase shows a traditional, bookish construction with a two-storey a and g, a compact, tidy ear on the g, and a moderate x-height that keeps the texture even in paragraphs. Terminals and joins retain a gently calligraphic logic, creating a steady rhythm and clear letter separation.

Well-suited to editorial design where a refined serif texture is desired—magazine features, book typography, essays, and long-form reading—while also performing strongly in headlines and pull quotes thanks to its crisp contrast. It can support premium branding and packaging when a classic, authoritative voice is needed.

The tone is polished and editorial, combining a classical voice with a slightly modern sharpness in the contrast and finishing. It reads as confident and cultured—more magazine and literature than rustic or playful—while remaining approachable for longer passages.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic serif reading experience with elevated contrast and carefully finished serifs that add sophistication in display and editorial contexts. The slightly roomy proportions and disciplined rhythm suggest a focus on clarity, elegance, and a strong typographic presence.

In the sample text, the high-contrast detailing stays coherent at display sizes, and the spacing supports a smooth reading flow. Numerals share the same contrast and serif treatment, helping mixed text maintain a consistent, dignified color.
