This is a slanted serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and sharply cut, bracketed serifs. Letterforms show a slightly calligraphic construction: tapered terminals, energetic joins, and angled stress that keeps counters open even at heavier strokes. Proportions are generous, with ample width and a steady, readable rhythm in text; curves are smooth and full, while horizontals and serifs terminate in crisp, wedge-like cuts. Numerals are similarly robust and italicized in feel, with strong contrast and compact internal shaping that matches the letter texture.

It performs well for editorial headlines, magazine layouts, and book-cover typography where an emphatic serif italic is desirable. The sturdy stroke weight and clear counters also support short to medium passages (pull quotes, subheads, lead-ins) where a rich, high-contrast texture is an asset.

The overall tone feels classic and editorial, pairing traditional bookish cues with a more theatrical, headline-ready energy. Its slant and strong contrast add motion and emphasis, giving it a confident, slightly dramatic voice without becoming ornamental.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional serif voice with heightened emphasis through slant and contrast, suitable for expressive editorial typography. It aims to balance traditional readability with a more dynamic, attention-grabbing silhouette for prominent text settings.

In the sample text, the face builds a dark, continuous typographic color with clear word shapes; the slant and deep contrast make it especially assertive at larger sizes. The italic angle is consistent across capitals, lowercase, and figures, helping mixed-case settings feel unified.
