This serif face combines moderate stroke contrast with noticeably bracketed, wedge-like serifs and slightly flared terminals. The proportions are on the condensed side, with tall capitals and compact, upright lowercase forms. Curves are smoothly modeled and the joins show a subtle calligraphic influence, giving strokes a gently varied thickness without feeling sharp or high-contrast. Lowercase details such as the two‑storey “g” and “a”, the angled ear on “g”, and the slightly lively bowls and spurs contribute to a textured, readable rhythm in continuous text.

Well-suited to book typography, editorial layouts, and other long-form reading where a classic serif texture is desired. It can also serve for headings and subheads in publications that benefit from a traditional, authoritative voice, especially when space is limited and a tighter measure is needed.

The overall tone is traditional and literary, suggesting established editorial typography rather than display novelty. It feels formal and trustworthy, with a hint of oldstyle warmth that keeps it from looking sterile or overly mechanical. The condensed stance and crisp serifs add a mildly authoritative, “print-era” character.

The design appears intended to provide a conventional, readable serif with a slightly condensed footprint and a familiar print tradition. Its bracketed serifs and gently modeled contrast aim for comfortable text color and a confident, established tone across paragraphs and headings.

Capitals show strong vertical stress and firm serifs, while round letters keep generous interior space for clarity. Numerals appear lining and straightforward, matching the text weight and maintaining consistent color with the letters. The italic is not shown, and the style on display reads as a cohesive, text-oriented roman.
