A decorative serif with a lightly built, high-contrast skeleton and an intentionally distressed finish. Stems and bowls are mostly classical in structure, but edges break into sharp thorns, hairline spikes, and small ink-like chips that vary from glyph to glyph. Serifs are narrow and pointed, often extending into clawed terminals; curves occasionally show uneven contours that give a hand-rendered, irregular rhythm. Proportions are broadly traditional with a moderate x-height, while widths fluctuate noticeably across characters, reinforcing the unpredictable texture in text.

Best suited to display settings where its distressed spikes can read as intentional texture—posters, headlines, book or album covers, event branding, and thematic packaging. It also fits fantasy, gothic, or Halloween-adjacent interfaces and title cards, where character is more important than long-form readability.

The overall tone is playful yet slightly sinister, mixing storybook whimsy with scratchy, spellbook-like theatrics. The spiky nicks and hanging ink flecks add a sense of mischief and unease, as if the letters were cut from worn print or etched with a sharp nib.

The design appears intended to take a familiar serif foundation and disrupt it with deliberate imperfections—splinters, scratches, and ink breaks—to create a one-off, characterful voice. It prioritizes atmosphere and distinctiveness over neutrality, aiming for a handmade, slightly menacing decorative effect.

In continuous text the font produces a lively sparkle from its hairline protrusions and internal counters, but the distressing can create visual noise at smaller sizes. The numerals retain the same sharp serif language and look more display-oriented than utilitarian.
