A sturdy serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and sculpted, wedge-like terminals that read as subtly flared at the ends of stems. Serifs are crisp and bracketed, with sharp inner corners and confident, ink-trap–like notches in places where strokes meet. The letterforms feel broad and stable, with a relatively open, readable lowercase and compact, weighty uppercase. Curves are full and controlled (notably in C, G, O, and S), while diagonals and joins keep a chiseled, intentional edge; figures are robust and aligned to the same strong vertical rhythm.

This font performs best in large sizes where its sharp serifs, flared terminals, and contrast can be appreciated—magazine headlines, book covers, campaign posters, and brand marks. Its solid color and open lowercase also make it viable for short subheads, pull quotes, and premium packaging copy where a classic but punchy serif is desired.

The overall tone is assertive and editorial, projecting tradition with a contemporary, high-impact polish. It feels formal and trustworthy without becoming delicate, making it well suited to attention-grabbing, prestige-oriented typography.

The design appears intended to deliver a modernized classic serif voice: strong verticals, dramatic contrast, and sculpted terminals that create a distinctive, engraved texture in display typography. It aims for confident presence and refined detail rather than neutrality, balancing readability with a pronounced, characterful rhythm.

Spacing and proportions support headline use: counters stay open at heavy weight, and the sharp serifs/terminals create a lively texture across lines. The ampersand and punctuation in the sample show the same carved, high-contrast logic, helping maintain a cohesive voice in display settings.
