This serif shows gently flared terminals and softly bracketed serifs that widen out of the stems, giving the letterforms a subtle, sculpted finish rather than sharply cut ends. Strokes exhibit a measured thick–thin modulation with smooth transitions, producing clear vertical emphasis without feeling stark. Proportions are fairly traditional with generous sidebearings and open counters; the lowercase is steady and readable, with a two-storey “g” and a rounded, balanced “e.” Capitals are stately and evenly weighted, and the numerals follow the same oldstyle-leaning, serifed construction with consistent rhythm across the set.

It performs well for continuous reading in books, essays, and editorial layouts where a traditional serif voice is desired. The crisp, flared detailing can also support display use—chapter titles, pull quotes, and institutional branding—where a refined, established presence is beneficial.

The overall tone is bookish and composed, projecting a familiar, institutional confidence with a hint of warmth from the flared endings. It reads as dignified and timeless rather than trendy, suited to content that benefits from authority and calm polish.

The design appears intended to blend classical serif readability with slightly expressive, flared stroke endings that give the face a recognizable signature. It aims for a versatile, text-friendly rhythm while adding tasteful character through terminal shaping and controlled contrast.

In text, spacing and stroke transitions keep paragraphs smooth and even, while the flared terminals add a distinctive texture at larger sizes. The design avoids exaggerated quirks, relying instead on consistent stroke logic and a restrained, classic silhouette.
