A robust serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and strongly bracketed, wedge-like serifs. Curves are full and rounded, while joins and terminals often flare into sculpted, slightly calligraphic shapes, giving the strokes a lively rhythm rather than a purely mechanical finish. Counters are generally generous for the weight, and the lowercase shows sturdy, compact forms with a two-storey “a” and “g,” plus noticeable ball-like terminals and ear details. Numerals appear substantial and traditional, with clear vertical stress and confident, stable bases.

Well-suited to headlines, deck typography, and cover work where a classic serif voice is desired. It can also support editorial branding and pull quotes, especially where a dense, authoritative texture and traditional typography cues are appropriate.

The overall tone feels traditional and editorial, with a confident, old-world gravity. Its high-contrast, carved shapes convey authority and ceremony, while the rounded curves and bracketed serifs add warmth and a slightly vintage, bookish character.

The font appears designed to evoke a conventional, time-tested serif model with added visual character through sculpted brackets, flared terminals, and strong contrast—aiming for a confident, print-forward presence in titles and prominent text.

The design reads best when given room: its pronounced contrast and distinctive terminals become more apparent at display sizes, while the heavier weight and strong serifs create a dense, ink-rich texture in longer settings. The uppercase has a stately presence and the lowercase maintains a steady, readable rhythm with distinctive serif cues.
