This is a high-contrast italic serif with a pronounced rightward slant and a crisp, calligraphic stroke model. Thin hairlines and sharp, bracketed serifs contrast with fuller main strokes, creating a refined rhythm in both capitals and lowercase. The lowercase shows lively entry and exit strokes and a gently varying texture, while capitals are slightly narrower and more formal, with delicate terminals and clear thick–thin modulation. Numerals follow the same italic construction, with elegant curves and fine finishing details that stay consistent with the letterforms.

Well-suited for editorial typography such as book interiors, magazine features, and long-form reading where an italic voice is needed for emphasis, quotations, or secondary hierarchy. It also works effectively for pull quotes, title pages, and formal communications that benefit from a classic, elevated italic texture.

The overall tone is polished and literary, evoking classic book typography and traditional publishing. Its strong contrast and flowing italic movement add sophistication and a sense of cultivated formality without feeling overly decorative.

The design appears intended as a conventional, high-quality text italic: a companion style that provides emphasis with authentic calligraphic construction and strong thick–thin contrast. Its consistent finishing and controlled proportions suggest a focus on traditional readability paired with an elegant, editorial presence.

In the sample text, the italic joins and tapered terminals give words a continuous forward motion, while the spacing remains disciplined enough to keep long lines readable. The design rewards larger sizes where the hairlines and serifs can render cleanly, and it reads as a dedicated italic rather than an oblique slant.
