A heavy, forward-leaning serif with stout, slightly wedge-like terminals and slabby feet that read as carved and compressed by pressure. Strokes are thick with modest modulation, and the outlines show consistent roughening and small interior speckling that mimics worn ink or textured printing. Counters stay fairly open for the weight, while joins and curves are softened and sometimes slightly lumpy, giving the rhythm a hand-pressed, imperfect regularity. Spacing feels sturdy and headline-oriented, with a lively, uneven edge that keeps large text from looking sterile.

Works best at display sizes where the rough edges and speckled texture can be appreciated—posters, album or book covers, apparel graphics, badges, and packaging that wants a vintage or workwear feel. It can also serve for short bursts of copy (pull quotes, labels, mastheads), but the texture and weight make it less suited to long, small-size reading.

The font projects a bold, old-poster energy—confident, a bit gritty, and intentionally imperfect. Its slanted stance and distressed texture add motion and attitude, suggesting something loud, handcrafted, and slightly rebellious rather than refined or corporate.

The design appears intended to deliver maximum impact with a rugged, timeworn print character, combining a traditional serif foundation with a forceful italic push. The goal seems to be a ready-made “printed on rough stock” look for expressive branding and headline typography without needing additional distress effects.

The distressing appears baked into the letterforms rather than applied as an overlay, showing up along edges and within fills for a consistent aged-print effect. The italic slant is clear but not calligraphic; it reads more like a strong display face pushed forward for emphasis.
