This serif shows strong thick–thin modulation with hairline horizontals and sharply tapered joins, giving the letterforms a crisp, polished silhouette. Serifs are bracketed and pointed, with a slightly calligraphic sweep in terminals and diagonals that adds a carved, sculptural feel. Proportions are fairly traditional but with noticeably varying widths across capitals and lowercase, producing an elegant rhythm; counters are compact and the color on the page is assertive, especially in capitals. Numerals follow the same high-contrast construction with delicate hairlines and prominent, stable stems.

Best suited to display and editorial roles such as magazine headlines, pull quotes, book covers, and luxury branding where the high contrast can read as intentional sophistication. It can also work for short passages at comfortable sizes when ample spacing and good reproduction preserve the hairlines.

The overall tone is editorial and upscale, mixing classical bookish cues with a dramatic, fashion-forward contrast. It reads as refined and authoritative, with enough flair in the terminals to feel contemporary rather than strictly historical.

The design appears intended to deliver a modern high-contrast serif with classic roots—prioritizing elegance, sharp detail, and a confident vertical rhythm for premium-feeling typography.

In text, the contrast creates a lively texture where vertical strokes dominate and fine strokes add sparkle; this can feel striking at larger sizes while becoming more delicate in dense settings. The italic-like energy is achieved without slant through curved entry/exit strokes and tapered terminals, which gives the face a poised, slightly theatrical character.
